The Faculty of Science at Ontario Tech University invites applicants from qualified individuals for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. We seek a candidate with a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field who demonstrates a strong research background and potential in computer graphics, computational photography, image processing, or computer vision. Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in computer graphics or computational photography. This position is subject to budgetary approval and commences on July 1, 2024.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic group of faculty members engaging in top-tier research across various areas, including Data Science, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Human-Computer Interaction, and Systems. The candidate will receive ample support to maintain and enhance their active research profile in computer graphics and computer science in general.
The successful candidate will be expected to follow a 40% Research, 40% Teaching and 20% Service workload each year.
The ideal candidate will develop successful and innovative externally funded research programs that support peer-reviewed publications, training of graduate students at both masters and Ph.D. levels, and academic and industry collaborations. They will also be responsible for teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and contributing to curriculum development.
