The Faculty of Nursing, University of Calgary, invites applications for two positions at the rank of Assistant (tenure track) or Associate (with tenure) Professor (Teaching). The appointment will ideally commence July 1st, 2025, or at a mutually agreeable date.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must have either a Master's Degree in Nursing or a Doctorate in Nursing or other related discipline (e.g., EdD) and be eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta.

Applicants at the Assistant/Associate Professor (Teaching) rank will be early to mid-career academics who have previous professional and teaching experiences in nursing academia or clinical practice. Applicants will possess demonstrable leadership to directly and indirectly advance future curriculum and teaching and learning developments.

The successful appointee will also have experience in a variety of modalities including classroom, clinical and simulation.

A complete application should be submitted in a single pdf, and include the following:

  • Cover letter and curriculum vitae including the names and contact information for three referees;
  • Statement of teaching philosophy/teaching dossier;
  • Statement outlining your program of scholarship; and
  • Brief description of present and aspiring contributions to the field of nursing education and contributions to the advancement of nursing education.
