Join Our Team as Assistant Maintenance / Facility Manager!

Are you driven to deliver exceptional guest experiences through expert maintenance and inspiring leadership? At Coast Hotels, we’re looking for an Assistant Maintenance/Facility Manager to partner with our Director of Facility in ensuring our hotel is in top condition while fostering a positive, team-oriented atmosphere.

In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee the maintenance team, lead specialized projects, and help maintain the highest standards of service, safety, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead general repairs, maintenance work, and exciting project initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the team to set clear goals, expectations, and quality standards.
  • Monitor performance, provide constructive feedback, and ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Uphold and enforce health and safety protocols to protect our team and guests.
  • Inspire and guide team members in a supportive and collaborative environment.
  • Anticipate guest needs and deliver exceptional customer service experiences.
  • Contribute proactively to creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as required to support the maintenance function.

What You Bring:

  • A Secondary School Diploma with at least one trade qualification (electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, or HVAC).
  • A minimum of one year of Journeyman status in a trade qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of tools and equipment necessary for maintenance work.
  • Proven leadership abilities to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • A professional attitude and polished appearance.
  • Expertise in health and safety regulations, including WHMIS.
  • Physical mobility and stamina to meet the job's demands.
  • A commitment to Coast’s core values and a results-driven mindset.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
