Position Summary

This Assistant Digital Marketing Manager role will be responsible for all marketing systems/programs administration, data management, and reporting for respective marketing activities to ensure that these systems/programs are being used to their fullest potential to benefit the business. Such platforms include SalesForce, Pardot, WordPress website (farrow.com), Google Analytics/SEO optimization tools, social media accounts, etc.

This position also encompasses a responsibility to participate in MarTech marketing content development, providing creative and copy guidance and editing when design work is needed for program communications.

Key Responsibilities

Pardot and Salesforce

  • Manage email campaign marketing and trade communications (draft set-ups and deploying email drip campaigns through engagement studio), including management of contact lists, and report generation on email opens and clicks, form submissions, website visitors, etc. to measure the success of marketing campaigns and to determine effectiveness of Farrow content.
  • Design and issue Farrow’s quarterly digital digest to clients, evolving the format and content as required.
  • Continuously improve email marketing content and tactics, including expanded use of the Pardot system’s functionalities.
  • SalesForce: maintain the marketing collateral repository as collateral is created/refreshed.

WordPress - Farrow Website

  • Ownership of website activity including ongoing updates of website content as new messaging and resources are created/become available, and ensuring that new content is being optimized for SEO bolstering.
  • Analyze and strategize how to continuously improve the Farrow website’s design, user experience, traffic, and content by monitoring and analyzing Google Analytics data and other SEO metrics to track website activity, visitor data, geographic reach, conversion tracking, etc., and to subsequently implement plans to improve website experience/usability.
  • Utilize SEO tools to continuously maintain and improve keyword ranking and web search performance.
  • Regularly analyze social media analytics and collaborate with Communications team member(s) to ensure social engagement is driving users to Farrow website for company resources and value-added thought leadership content.
  • Maintain a regular cadence of competitor websites’ new content/functionalities.
  • Maintain account administration of Farrow’s social media, Google (Maps), and Bing accounts managing both the communications calendar and social media activities – creating and publishing/posting and organic content, disseminating trade news, responding to comments, etc., and (as needed) collaborating with Farrow’s businesses or Sales teams to design social campaigns for both lead generation and building brand awareness.

Farrow Intranet

  • As the marketing lead for Farrow’s intranet, own and manage the communications calendar and content online for this site - all marketing assets (creative and messaging), programs (contest fulfillments and other promotional activity), and other business resources as needed.
  • Maintain inter-office software functionality.
  • Manage ongoing content to share internal messaging.
  • Continually explore new ways to communicate through the program to maintain interest and keep content fresh.
  • Manage account with vendor (device management, payments, etc.).

Survey Monkey

  • Oversee Farrow’s annual Customer Satisfaction survey including survey design and execution, tabulation and analysis of results, and dissemination of results both internally and externally via creative collateral.
  • Manage the execution of ad hoc marketing research surveys or online polls, including the drafting, uploading, and results tabulation/reporting.
  • Review and monitor online trends and opportunities with respect to social media and digital communications programs/tools/platforms and introduce new options for improved business efficiencies or data gathering/building, as awareness of these new tools arise.
  • Be the Farrow liaison/representative between all respective system/program supplier companies through regular account interaction.
  • Facilitate and host client webinars using event software/common meeting platforms like Microsoft Teams – both internal (for employees) and live webinars (the public) - liaising with webinar team for the purpose of event registration set ups, webinar notices, confirmation emails, follow up surveys, export webinar attendee lists, and editing webinar videos.
  • Support the marketing team.

Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary degree or certificate in Marketing, Communications, or Business.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in marketing.
  • Experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud account engagement/similar CRM programs including Pardot or similar email campaign management software tools (Salesforce and/or Pardot certification an asset).
  • Experience with website UX and content management, coupled with a good understanding of SEO strategies and tools (e.g. Google Analytics and other SEO software).
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, social media management and monitoring tools (e.g. Sprout Social), including familiarity with common social media KPI’s such as audience, amplification and conversation rate.
  • Branding and/or general marketing functions experience.
  • Familiarity with common survey software/systems (e.g. Survey Monkey).
  • Knowledge of customs brokerage and logistics industry is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Digital marketing fluency with a solid understanding of digital marketing best practices.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, in particular Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to time manage multiple simultaneous concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated oral, written and editing skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships and work confidently and effectively with individuals from all levels of the organization.
