Location : Drummondville, QC
Salary : $35 / h
Contract : 6 months with possible conversion into permanent role
Schedule : Monday to Friday
Training will be onsite. After that, the role will shift to hybrid.
Responsibilities
Supports superior in planning and drafting purchase orders for sub-component purchases.
- Prepares and follows up on R&D purchase orders;
- Prepares purchase orders on the computer system and sends a copy to the supplier;
- Ensures that order levels are respected and that KANBANs are maintained;
- Follows up with suppliers to avoid delays in order delivery and communicates with them to find out the reasons;
- Follows up on incoming goods, verifications, and problem-solving with suppliers;
- Establishes non-conformity return procedures with suppliers and authorizes non-conformities to be returned to the supplier;
- Informs superior of potential cost increases and/or supply problems;
- Supports third-party suppliers and performs full-cycle PO management and follow-ups.
- Creates and updates items in Great Plains, as well as creating bill of materials (BOM) for the Canadian and U.S. subsidiaries;
- Performs inventory transfers and adjustments in the computer system;
- Participates in annual and monthly inventory counts;
- Produces expense reports;
- Develops, maintains, and periodically reviews departmental procedures, work instructions, and quality records;
- Takes or proposes measures to improve departmental efficiency.
Qualifications
ACADEMIC EDUCATION : DEC in administration or equivalent
WORK EXPERIENCE : 2 years of experience in procurement,
- CURRENT KNOWLEDGE : Bilingual;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook);
- Knowledge of Great Plains.
