Location : Drummondville, QC

Salary : $35 / h

Contract : 6 months with possible conversion into permanent role

Schedule : Monday to Friday

Training will be onsite. After that, the role will shift to hybrid.

Responsibilities

Supports superior in planning and drafting purchase orders for sub-component purchases.

  1. Prepares and follows up on R&D purchase orders;
  2. Prepares purchase orders on the computer system and sends a copy to the supplier;
  3. Ensures that order levels are respected and that KANBANs are maintained;
  4. Follows up with suppliers to avoid delays in order delivery and communicates with them to find out the reasons;
  5. Follows up on incoming goods, verifications, and problem-solving with suppliers;
  6. Establishes non-conformity return procedures with suppliers and authorizes non-conformities to be returned to the supplier;
  7. Informs superior of potential cost increases and/or supply problems;
  8. Supports third-party suppliers and performs full-cycle PO management and follow-ups.
  9. Creates and updates items in Great Plains, as well as creating bill of materials (BOM) for the Canadian and U.S. subsidiaries;
  10. Performs inventory transfers and adjustments in the computer system;
  11. Participates in annual and monthly inventory counts;
  12. Produces expense reports;
  13. Develops, maintains, and periodically reviews departmental procedures, work instructions, and quality records;
  14. Takes or proposes measures to improve departmental efficiency.

Qualifications

ACADEMIC EDUCATION : DEC in administration or equivalent

WORK EXPERIENCE : 2 years of experience in procurement,

  1. CURRENT KNOWLEDGE : Bilingual;
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook);
  3. Knowledge of Great Plains.
