Education Requirements
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Tasks
- Train workers in duties and policies
- Prepare and submit reports
- Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
- Address customers' complaints or concerns
- Store, update and retrieve financial data
- Prepare trial balance
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Prepare income tax
- Prepare journal entry
- Perform clerical duties, such as maintain filing and record systems
- Open and close books for auditors
- Manage accounts payable
- Manage accounts receivable
- Perform financial calculations, such as costing and budgeting
- Collect payments from debtors
- Review behaviour with regard to deposits and withdrawals, overdraws, defaults, dishonoured payments and spending patterns
- Assess fixed assets and depreciation
- Prepare reports
- Prepare bank reconciliations
