Responsibilities

Project Management & Technical Activities

  1. Contribute to development of asset management strategies, levels of service and proposed levels of service, risk assessments, vulnerability to climate hazards and financial strategies.
  2. Assist in the development of 10-25 year capital plans and assist in defining function requirements and technical standards for new asset management data systems and technologies.
  3. Project manage and implement asset programs including rehabilitation and replacement planning, inspections, data collection, and analysis.
  4. Conduct infrastructure and special studies to determine infrastructure upgrade and replacement needs.
  5. Consolidate data and information from service areas into corporate Asset Management templates and plans.
  6. Develop asset management strategies and system design for asset management programming.
  7. Review asset data information in asset data software and systems for quality assurance and identify improvement areas.
  8. Develop and implement processes for data integrity. Work closely with corporate stakeholders to develop standardized asset data processes.
  9. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in all aspects of infrastructure asset management services.
  10. Assist with the preparation of proposals for the provision of asset management services for public and private sector clients.
  11. Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.
  12. Business travel upon request.

Qualifications

What you will need to succeed:

  1. A degree in engineering.
  2. Eligible for registration with Professional Engineers Ontario.
  3. Minimum of 5 years of related professional experience.
  4. Certificate in asset management (IAM, NAMS or PEMAC) preferred.
  5. Valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s license.

Experience

  1. Knowledge of relational databases and computerized applications that relate to asset management of water, wastewater, environmental, infrastructure, and transportation projects, including graphical interface such as GIS and CADD systems.
  2. Experience in the development and implementation of infrastructure asset data management systems for public and private sector clients.
  3. Familiarity with operational, engineering and financial processes in place at the municipal, provincial and federal government level.
  4. Experience in capital planning and financial management.
  5. Demonstrated working experience with Ontario Regulation 588/17.
  6. Outstanding abilities in multidisciplinary project teamwork and management.
  7. Proficient in proposal preparation, project report coordination and presentations.
