Assembly Technician

Scope of the position:

The Assembly Tech will be responsible for assembling, operating, and maintaining various types of equipment, machines, or electronic devices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide general Assembly support within the department as required including but not limited to: Suspension components, Hinges, and various other assemblies.
2. Machine operating: hydraulic press, brake press, etc.
3. Follow build sheets and fill control plans based on sub-assembly & assemblies manufactured.
4. Computer competent, i.e., Basic Excel, Word, AutoCAD.
5. Suggest product improvements and identify potential build issues.
6. Ensure that the customer’s requirements, which include project timing, part quality, and delivery are understood and met.
7. Documenting Quality and following assembly procedures.
8. Consider alternative solutions for given tasks or problems.
9. Attend meetings as required.
10. Be responsible for all parameters of assigned tasks.
11. Ensure the shop environment is kept safe, clean, and organized to enable timely and safe manufacturing techniques.
12. Clearly communicate project and other details to the supervisor/ area lead/ program management team.
13. Maintain accurate timesheets and ensure they are completed on time.
14. Follow all documented quality procedures.
15. Observe all company safety rules, policies, and procedures.
16. Attend all required training courses.
17. Participate in MAMT’s continuous improvement activities.
18. Foster good employee relations.
19. Perform all other duties as determined by the General Manager or his designate.
20. Must be familiar with MAMT’s Quality System procedures.
