Responsibilities

  1. Ability to rake asphalt to high standards
  2. Operate raking equipment to distribute and level paving materials
  3. Ensure that proper grades and slopes are maintained throughout the project
  4. Work in a team environment to ensure that project timelines are met
  5. Perform routine maintenance on raking equipment to ensure proper functioning
  6. Assist with other paving-related tasks as needed
  7. Follow and adhere to all the Company’s safety procedures and directives
  8. Responsible to ensure all work is completed in a safe manner
  9. Perform work in outdoor construction site settings
  10. Act in a courteous manner in order to project a positive company image

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 3 years of experience working with asphalt
  2. Raking Asphalt experience is considered an asset
  3. Previous experience working on asphalt and concrete paving projects
  4. Ability to operate raking equipment and other paving-related tools and machinery
  5. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain proper grades and slopes
  6. Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with coworkers
  7. Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects and working in all weather conditions
  8. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  9. Must be able to work under pressure
  10. Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies
  11. Must be able to work overtime, weekends, nights, and early starts (irregular hours) when necessary
  12. Willingness to work flexible hours
  13. Physical ability to load and unload materials from the dump truck
