Your role

UBS Bank (Canada) is currently looking for 2 articling students for the year 2025/2026 to assist in our Legal department and work with the General Counsel & Chief Privacy Officer.

This is a 12-month contract with an anticipated start date in the beginning of July 2025. To apply, please include your Cover Letter, Resume, and undergraduate and Law School Transcripts. While not required, two reference letters are preferred.

In this role, you will:

  1. assist with drafting and reviewing of various contracts and other corporate documents including by-laws, resolutions, and quarterly reports to the Board of Directors
  2. review privacy policies and procedures and investigating privacy incidents
  3. provide oversight of regulatory monitoring and legislative developments that may impact the Bank and its securities investment firm, prepare regulatory summaries and updates, and participate in regulatory and bank-wide initiatives
  4. participate in various bank projects including UBS Net Zero initiative and environmental, social, and climate related projects and provide support to various working groups
  5. prepare and file private placements and Know-Your-Product (“KYP”) reporting for products offered by UBS with the provincial regulators

Your team

You will be employed by the Wealth Management Canada division, working with the Legal team based in Toronto, Ontario. Your role will support both UBS Bank (Canada), a Schedule II bank and parent entity of UBS Investment Management Canada Inc., a wholly owned securities entity, working on a broad spectrum of legal matters.
