Art Director, Amazon Ads Brand Innovation Lab

The Amazon advertising design and user experience team is seeking a talented and passionate Designer/Art Director (m/f) to create innovative, visually stunning and effective advertising experiences that tell stories and drive business performance for the world’s leading brands across Canada.

As part of the Amazon Online Advertising Team, your primary focus will be to create innovative concepts for user-centered advertising experiences and campaigns spanning within and even beyond our platforms. Prior experience in an agency or media environment selling to global brands is mandatory.

Specific Responsibilities:

  1. Create ideas, concepts and designs for innovative ad experiences for global brands.
  2. Create and execute on-brand design solutions for advertising campaigns that meet measurable business goals and requirements.
  3. Create user-centered concepts by integrating marketing objectives, target audience, creative assets and Amazon design patterns into intuitive solutions.
  4. Independently lead campaign executions and collaborate with multiple teams across regions.
  5. Present your ideas and concepts in front of clients, agencies or internal teams.
  6. Build awareness about Amazon Advertising capabilities and pitch to clients and agencies in the pre-sales stage.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of design experience.
  • Have an available online portfolio.
  • Experience working with agile development teams (agile/scrum/kanban).
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite applications, with high proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat using macOS.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with e-commerce, search, social, and other major application types and their UX patterns.
  • Experience creating services and applications with multiple user touch points on different platforms and devices.
