Area Manager (Belleville, Ontario)

The Area Manager plays a critical role in overseeing operational planning, financial performance, daily operations, regulatory compliance, customer service, and residential sales.

This Area supplies essential energy products to residential, commercial, and agricultural customers throughout the region.

Success in this role requires a hands-on leader who is eager to dive into day-to-day operations to drive improvements in customer service, operational efficiency, and team engagement. We're looking for someone who leads by example and actively supports their team.

WHAT WE OFFER:

• Salary: 90k-110k

• Job Type: Full time, Permanent

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Operational Oversight: Oversee daily operations to ensure vehicles are clean, drivers are uniformed, offices are organized, and bulk plants meet all compliance standards.

• Performance & Growth Optimization: Drive operational efficiencies while maintaining high customer service standards. Lead initiatives to grow the business through local sales efforts, community engagement, and leveraging industry contacts.

• Regulatory Adherence: Ensure the operation is fully compliant with industry regulations including TSSA, Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Environment, MTO, and more.

• Client Relationship Excellence: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing outstanding, personalized service that exceeds expectations.

• Team Empowerment & Development: Inspire, train, and support a team of employees to deliver top-tier service. Implement coaching strategies and address performance needs to elevate the team’s capabilities.

• Workplace Safety Advocacy: Champion a safe work environment for employees, contractors, and customers. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and conduct root cause analysis to prevent incidents and accidents.

• Vendor & Partner Collaboration: Cultivate effective relationships with suppliers of equipment and service contractors, ensuring collaboration to grow the customer base and support operational needs.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Extensive background in operations leadership within customer-driven environments.

• Proven ability to lead teams of 10+ employees with a focus on performance and collaboration.

• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and respond to after-hours needs.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with solid business acumen and a drive for continuous improvement.

• Willingness to travel to customer locations and operational sites as required.

• Strong communicator with excellent organizational and negotiation skills.

• Practical experience in trucking logistics, route dispatch, and equipment installation is a strong asset.
