Architectural Technologist - project-base

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Architectural Technician in Victoria, BC, to support our projects. Our projects are primarily residential, but we plan to expand into the commercial sector. This position requires a strong understanding of construction systems, the BC building code, and architectural and construction drawings.

As an interior design company, our projects are either renovations or full-service interior design for new buildings.

This is casual work per project with an average of 2 projects per month. The architectural technologist will work under the company's umbrella and submit drawings with our company name and logs.

Although the AT will work at their office/location, occasional site visits or design meetings will be required.

Experience & Requirements

• Minimum of five years of full-time work as a Sr. Technologist is required.
• Experience in residential construction is required; experience in commercial building is an asset.
• Proficiency in CAD and Sketchup. Revit or Chief Architect is an asset.
• Willingness to take site measurements is an asset.
• Located in Victoria, BC or neighboring towns is required.
