TalentSphere is working with an established mid-sized Revit-based architecture specialized in private sector light-industrial (distribution centers and warehouses) and commercial (grocery chains, car dealerships) projects. The firm does projects across Canada with top tier clients including Amazon and Costco; supports ongoing professional development and believes in promoting from within.
Summary of Position:
Our client is looking for an experienced Revit Architectural Technologist to focus on the production of working and construction drawings. You will work alongside a team of highly experienced architects, project managers, BIM specialists, and technologists. You have experience in mid to larger sized projects (100k-1m SQFT) that involve a high degree of coordination. Some projects have longer project life cycles and involve technology and equipment related to the growing e-commerce sector. Their ideal candidate has a car, wants to develop their contract administration skills, and enjoys site visits.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with other architects, technologists, and team members to produce a set of high-quality Revit drawings including plans, elevations, and section details.
- Coordinate with MEP and other subconsultants to develop functional and aesthetically pleasing designs on time and budget.
- Deal with permits, re-zoning, material substitutions; evolve to the adapting needs of the design; troubleshoot issues as they arise; deal with RFIs, addendums, and shop drawings.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Proactively take notes and communicate among all team members and leaders and outside stakeholders to get the support you need and ensure client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or architectural technologist diploma from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 4 years working in the production of construction and working drawings; minimum two years full-time use of Revit on the job.
- A Revit portfolio of complex warehouses and distribution centers (100k-500k), or large-scale commercial projects (large grocery chains, high-end dealerships).
- Knowledge of Ontario building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator.
