Industry : Light Industrial, Agricultural, and Commercial

Salary : Competitive, Based on Experience

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a reputable and growing Canadian design-build firm with a strong portfolio of light industrial, agricultural, and commercial projects across Canada. Known for their hands-on approach, collaborative culture, and commitment to quality, they are currently seeking an Architectural Technologist to join their Toronto-based team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-driven professional to work on technically engaging and high-impact developments that serve a wide range of business and agricultural needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Translate conceptual and schematic designs into detailed construction documents using Revit
  • Support the creation of schematic designs, design development drawings, and full construction sets
  • Review and revise technical drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and client requirements
  • Coordinate technical documentation with engineering disciplines including structural, mechanical, and electrical
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining accurate 3D models and drawing sets through all project phases
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to support smooth project delivery
  • Maintain quality control of drawing standards and documentation formats
  • Participate in design coordination meetings and provide technical input as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology or a related field
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience, ideally in industrial, agricultural, or commercial construction
  • Strong proficiency in Revit, including 3D modeling and documentation
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD; experience with SketchUp considered an asset
  • Familiarity with Ontario Building Code, zoning bylaws, and construction standards for industrial / agricultural buildings
  • Experience coordinating technical drawings with multidisciplinary teams
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
