Are you a talented Architectural Technologist looking for an exciting new opportunity? We're on the hunt for someone just like you to join our team! As our Architectural Technologist, you'll get to work on a variety of challenging projects, from designing buildings to industrial facilities. You'll collaborate closely with team members to ensure that our structures are not only safe and efficient but also innovative and practical. [ a day in the life of a technologist at co-elevate ]

  • Construct 3D models of structural systems utilizing Revit
  • Coordinate design activities with other disciplines (such as architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, etc.)
  • Contribute to the development of staff with less experience by providing guidance and troubleshooting issues
  • Attend a stand-up meeting with your scrum team to discuss yesterday’s challenges and plan for the day’s tasks
  • A daily break for a game of table tennis (if inclined)
  • Attend one of co‑elevate’s group events such as potlucks, lunch & learns, book club, etc.
  • Participate in one of co‑elevate’s charity causes such as blood drives, toy drives, food drives, or seasonal in-house charity events
  • Other duties as assigned/required
  • Regular site work as required
  • This role may require some overtime hours on occasion
  • At the end of the day, it is commonplace for our leadership to send staff members home to ensure work-life balance

[ what we are looking for in a technologist]

  • Completion of a Canadian College or University diploma or degree in Architectural Engineering Technology.
  • Experience in the drafting of variety of structure types, materials, and size such as commercial, retail and/or residential buildings and site plan layout
  • Experienced in onsite inspections of works under construction, shop drawing review, and contract administration
  • An understanding of the Ontario Building Code
  • Strong attention to detail; mathematical and analytical aptitude
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Adept at functioning in a fast paced, multi-disciplinary consulting environment
  • Ability to acquire and understand new information (i.e., structure types, building heights and configurations)
  • Capable of mentoring, guiding, and providing oversight to junior technologists
  • Creativity and innovation in finding solutions
  • Own transportation and/or a valid driver's license
  • Ability to undergo applicable screening
