Architectural Technologist

PARTISANS is hiring an Architectural Technologist to join our team.

PARTISANS is a Toronto-based award-winning practice with an exciting array of design projects under construction internationally. We work in developing futuristic and innovative architectures at the intersection of technology, culture, and design.

We are currently working on multiple mixed-use towers, custom homes, and several international spaces for global brands. We are seeking an Architectural Technologist with at least 5 years of experience working in a major international architecture firm. Mixed-use, high-rise, and high-end residential experience is highly preferred. The ideal candidate should be professional, possess strong technical skills, and be able to independently solve problems while receiving technical guidance on unusual or complex issues. This person should be passionate about building and translating difficult concepts into buildable results.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a minimum of 5 years of related continuous professional experience in assisting to deliver projects including cultural, commercial, and residential.
• Have some knowledge of Ontario’s Building Code and zoning by-laws.
• Translate architectural concepts from Rhino to Revit and/or develop constructability in 2D or 3D.
• Assist in the production of architectural drawing sets for submissions for schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
• Have a strong graphic understanding of how to develop sheets of multiple aspects of a particular construction element in 2D and 3D in concert with one another.
• Perform various Building Information Modeling (BIM) tasks such as producing, reviewing, and managing project drawings and documentation.
• Be proficient in Revit and have familiarity with Rhino, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
• Be highly organized and efficient, able to multitask through tight deadlines in PARTISANS’s fast-paced environment.
• Be a positive and self-motivated team player with well-established collaboration skillsets.
• Have communication and interpersonal skills with consultants, suppliers, and clients.
• Be intrinsically inspired, demonstrating resourcefulness, curiosity, and creativity.
• Be a problem solver who helps craft our buildings.
