Job Requirements:

1. Languages: English
2. Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
3. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
4. Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available
5. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking
6. Ability to Supervise: 3-4 people
7. Personal Suitability: Team player, Excellent written communication, Excellent oral communication, Effective interpersonal skills, Initiative, Organized

Job Duties:

1. Assist in the development of architectural designs
2. Analyze building codes, by-laws, space requirements, site requirements and other technical documents and reports
3. Prepare manual and CAD (computer-assisted design) drawings, specifications, cost estimates and listings of quantities of material from conceptual drawings and instructions
4. Construct architectural and display models, and 3-D virtual models of architectural designs
5. Prepare contract and bidding documents
6. May supervise drafters, technicians and technologists on the architectural team
7. May supervise construction projects and co-ordinate, monitor and inspect work done by others
