Job Description

We are seeking experienced Sheet Metal Workers to join our team. You will work primarily on commercial and institutional projects, including hospitals and schools. Occasionally, you may work on high-rise buildings, focusing on flat and sloped roofs. Specifically, in the cladding department, you will work on sheet metal for sloped roofs.

Responsibilities

• Work on commercial and institutional projects, including hospitals and schools.
• Handle both flat and sloped roof installations.
• Specialize in architectural sheet metal and cladding for sloped roofs.
• Ensure the quality and precision of metalwork.
• Follow safety protocols and wear provided safety gear.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Architectural Sheet Metal.
• Experience working on commercial or institutional projects.
• Proficiency with sheet metal, construction, and cladding.
• Valid Fall Protection ticket (expired tickets are acceptable with renewal).
• Valid Scissor and Boom lift ticket (expired tickets are acceptable with renewal).
• Ability to commute to various project sites, ideally with a vehicle and license.
• Possession of necessary tools.

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with swing stage.
• Completion of CSTS training.
• For apprentices: Hand tools and three types of shears (red, green, and yellow).
• For journeymen: T-Bevel square, utility knife, rubber and steel hammer, files, and tape measure.

You will work on projects throughout the Lower Mainland, with hours from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch. You must have your own steel toe boots and hard hat. We use a variety of materials and brands, including Swisspearl, Gardenia, and Hardie, as well as cement-based and composite panels, sloped metal roofing, and metal siding.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $55.00 / hr.
