Architectural Services Consultant – Toronto
As the Architectural Sales Consultant, you will prospect new architectural relationships to promote our specification services for division 8 and division 28 business by conducting AIA security solution presentations to architects and the design build (contractor) community, maintaining relationships through technical support and guidance, and following specifications through the full sales cycle to final closing of the opportunity.
What You Will Do:
- Develop and maintain relationships with targeted architects to achieve annual goals. Influencing skills are essential.
- Manage the sales process through effective CRM management and team communication.
- Advise customers on products and applications. Suggest new products to achieve customer-specific needs.
- Support architects as a business partner to maximize Allegion share through coordination, demand creation and strategy sessions.
- Conduct site surveys and building walk-throughs to assist with development of specification standards and identifying potential issues.
- Maintain a strategic understanding of market conditions and be able to adapt to and maintain a competitive advantage.
- Attend factory training sessions to achieve industry-leading knowledge in both mechanical and electronic security solutions.
- Strong presentation skills are a necessity.
- Maintain excellent industry/territory knowledge by reviewing and understanding market data of competitive activity.
- Adapt to change in the marketplace.
- Ensure proper customers and partners are adequately trained on new and existing products.
- Maintain awareness of all Company policies, guidelines, and procedures and ensure compliance.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Local understanding of codes and the CSI format of specifications is an asset.
- Ability to travel 10-15%.
- Strong CRM management and computer skills.
- Strong presentation skills and experience.
- Previous experience with the architectural community.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent years of experience.
- 5+ years sales or architectural experience preferred.
- Electronic solution or access control sales experience is an asset.
