Wingfield Golf Club was reopened as a full 27 hole facility with a driving range and practice facilities. We are located beside the Calgary airport in the northeast corner by the Prairie Winds Park and Rotary Challenge BallPark. We currently have around 125 members to our newly established golf club.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Apprentice/Assistant or Associate Professional willing to work 5 / 6 day split weeks during the peak golf season June to September. Assist in club operations, help run the junior program and camps, facilitate a league, and in corporate tournaments, supervise support staff, manage proshop duties, among other club functions.

Responsibilities

Duties Will Include But Not Limited To

• Teaching lessons
• Day to day operations of the club, checking in of customers, ensuring high levels of service
• Monitoring outside services staff
• Merchandising and general upkeep of the proshop area
• Inventory control and management
• Run a league
• Ensure all staff are adhering to club policy and procedures at all times
• Report to the Head Professional or Club House Manager
• Strong interpersonal, organisational, communication and leadership skills
• Maintain a well-respected and professional image within the club, industry and the community
• Proficient in all computer programs, Fore-up golf

Qualifications

• PGA of Canada member in good standing
• Excellent communication skills both written and orally
• Outgoing and energetic personality and willingness to grow as a professional
• Ability to work in a high paced environment, multi-task

Compensation

• $3200 - $3600 per month based on experience / 75% Lesson revenue
• PGA of Canada Dues paid
• Clothing allowance, 50% off Meals
• Clubs to be used for the season
• Playing privileges and guest discounts
