What you will do...

  • Property damage appraisal, conducting thorough on-site and remote property damage assessments, ensuring accurate evaluation and appraisal.
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders, Independent Adjusters, vendor partners, and legal counsel.
  • Identify and recommend cost-effective repair methodologies, materials, and vendors while maintaining quality standards.
  • Manage escalated property appraisal issues or vendor disputes promptly and effectively.
  • Provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders on complex appraisal matters.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate appraisal records.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive appraisal reports, insights, and analytics for Claims leadership.
  • Support and actively engage in CAT preparedness and response efforts, ensuring readiness for effective appraisal and claims management during catastrophic events.

What you will bring...

  • 5-7 years of property appraisal or claims adjusting experience, with expertise across residential, commercial, and farm properties.
  • Post-secondary education or vocational training in construction management, property appraisal, or a related field; relevant industry certifications preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of property damage appraisal methodologies, construction processes, estimating software (e.g., Xactimate), and industry standards.
  • Proficiency with claims management and appraisal software tools.
  • Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage complex appraisals, escalations, and vendor relationships effectively.
  • Experience delivering high-quality customer service and continuous process improvement.
