Alteo is looking for an Application Support Specialist for a permanent position based in Montreal.

Within the framework of respecting customer SLAs, your main role will be to contribute to the support and processing of incidents reported by operational teams, and to contribute to the resolution of incidents, with the aim of respecting contractual commitments (deadlines, quality, cost).

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the handling of incidents with a view to their resolution
    • Contribute to N2/N3 team support and resolution of production-related incidents
    • Contribute to the analysis of team incidents, and recommend actions to be implemented according to the incident reported
    • Contribute to the implementation of developments required to resolve incidents
    • Contribute to unit tests and write documentation corresponding to modifications made before going into production.
  • Contribute to compliance with commitments/SLAs
    • Contribute to meeting commitments in terms of deadlines and quality of work delivered
    • Contribute to compliance with standards specific to his/her activity
    • Contribute to the improvement of the team's indicators in order to enhance the company's quality and image.
    • Contribute to compliance with selected development standards
    • Contribute to the definition of development priorities for maintenance-specific procedures
  • Contribute to the support of the operations team during production rollout
    • Contribute to the validation of deliverables/procedures for the operations/project team during rollout.
    • Help support the operations team in requests for information
    • Contribute to operations team training
    • Contribute to network improvements and ensure non-regression testing
  • Be on-call according to the schedule, in order to intervene in case of need outside working hours.
    • Participate in on-call planning
    • Respond to incidents occurring outside working hours.

Profile:

  • DEC/BAC in IT or equivalent
  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Familiarity with the electronic payment industry (an important asset)
  • IT project life cycle
  • C language
  • PL/SQL language
  • Shell system
  • Unix server
  • Testing techniques
  • Network certification (Visa, MasterCard)
  • PowerCard products
  • J2EE HTML model
