Our client’s Professional Services organization is responsible for the successful implementation of software solutions to deliver business value to our customers. It is one of the largest and most critical groups in our software company. Examples of the projects and solutions that we have delivered for our customers include:

1. Master data management store for a fully integrated solution reflecting the sophisticated relationship modeling needs of a leading global private wealth management firm, servicing high-net worth individuals in 6 countries on 3 continents.
2. State-of-the-art integrated broker serving as a client-centric hub for access to demographic and financial data, interactions, and transactional tools, for 40,000 users of a global wealth management company.
3. Integrated Agent Desktop solution for 17,000 call center, agency, and management users at a large mid-western P&C insurance company expanding nationally.
4. Integrated disease screening solution to identify and screen individuals at risk for colorectal cancer.

As a Professional Services Consultant specializing in Application Development and Integration, you will have the opportunity to use your technical skills, communication skills, and customer-facing skills, AND perform software analysis and design using our client’s state-of-the-art model-driven framework.

Position Accountabilities: The Professional Services Consultant (Application Development / Integration Specialist) has accountability for successfully designing, configuring, and implementing integrated software solutions for our customers, which will be used by thousands of their users. This includes:

1. Gathering and analyzing technical customer requirements.
2. Modeling technical designs using our client’s model-driven framework.
3. Development and configuration of customer-specific solutions.
4. Integration to multiple customer systems using SOA design and technology.
5. Automation of key business processes.

Position Requirements: This position requires a highly-focused, technically skilled individual who has been exposed to professional services practices, project management, and software development. A strong desire to accelerate your career by working in a high growth, fast paced environment, with the confidence to be a key contributor on an energetic and driven team, is essential. Key requirements include:

1. Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical degree with 0-5 years of software development experience, including co-operative work terms and internships.
2. Strong object-oriented programming and design patterns experience.
3. Understanding of web services technologies such as WSDL/XSD and SOAP.
4. Understanding of enterprise messaging technologies such as JMS and Websphere MQ.
5. Familiarity with scripting languages such as VBscript, Javascript, Scheme.
6. Knowledge of relational database technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, DB2.
7. Familiarity with application server technologies such as WebSphere and JBoss.
8. Knowledge or experience of the SDLC using Agile Scrum development and/or Waterfall project management methodologies and standards.
9. Strong communicator with demonstrated confidence.
10. Customer focused with a high degree of professionalism.
11. Solutions focused with a track record of taking initiative to find the best ideas.
12. Willingness and experience working within a flexible and collaborative team environment.
13. Familiarity or experience with Financial Services organizations, such as Wealth Management, Life Insurance, P&C Insurance, Investment Banking, and Retail Banking.

Candidates will be working directly with customers and will be required to travel (mainly within Canada and to the US) and work at customer sites.
