We’re looking for an experienced professional to join our IT division in the role of Application Analyst – Supply Chain. Reporting to the Manager, IT Supply Chain Operations you will support, stabilize, and provide Supply Chain innovation by collaborating with key business stakeholders. 

As the Application Analyst – Supply Chain you will…

  • System expertise in ERP Supply Chain Modules including but not limited to DRP, MRP, Transportation, procurement, order management, inventory management, WMS, BOM, manufacturing, finance, and integration points (internal/external to ERP).
  • System expertise in shop floor systems and related integrations.
  • Ability to act as a liaison between the business and the IT team to properly interpret the needs of the business and enable the proper set up in ERP Applications.
  • Provide application support for assigned ERP applications with Supply Chain.
  • Proactively identify, catalog, prioritize application issues, then provide accurate and timely resolution of these issues while ensuring operational stability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Coordinate with vendors and support teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Perform functional, technical, and performance testing to validate the operational stability of custom configured or vendor application systems.
  • Work with the IT team to evaluate and document departmental, IT processes and procedures, and business processes and procedures, to ensure consistent support and administrative practices.
  • Create and maintain documentation for application systems, database environments, and infrastructure environments.
  • Develop, configure, enhance, and support in-house built or externally developed application systems by evaluating the business need, analyzing, and gathering technical requirements, and developing software systems in accordance with relevant IT standards.
  • Collaborate and build a strong relationship with all members of the IT team and key business stakeholders to create and maintain reliable, efficient, and high-quality application solutions.
  • As required, participate in application development projects through all facets of the Software Development Lifecycle or COTS product lifecycle to assess impact and ensure operational stability.
  • Provide training to the business on various application systems and projects developed in-house and externally.
  • Ensure that supply chain applications comply with corporate policies and industry regulations.
  • Implement and maintain security protocols to safeguard sensitive supply chain data under the guidance of our cyber security team.
  • Established record for driving operational efficiencies to help reduce organizational cost.

You're the ideal candidate if you have... 

  • Knowledge of the cannabis industry considered a strong asset
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • 5-10 years of experience in application support and system analysis
  • Extensive Experience with ERP (Sage X3, SAP, Oracle, JDEdwards)
  • Strong understanding and experience with IT operational process and control frameworks (ITIL, COBIT)
  • Experience working in a publicly traded organization and working robust IT General Control frameworks.
  • Experience working with an enterprise level ITSM (ServiceNow)

Bonus points if you have…

  • Knowledge of the cannabis industry considered a strong asset.
  • Broad knowledge of computer systems technology, programming, design techniques and various Software Development Lifecycle methodologies.
  • Knowledge of enterprise-level global organizational support.
  • Experience with projects involving multi-disciplinary teams operating in a fast-paced, innovation driven environment.
