App Analyst

Our Client is seeking an Intermediate Application Analyst to provide code deployment services for the Intel (Windows) and UNIX based business application environments. Familiarity with source code control and Application Lifecycle Management is required in this position. Responsibilities include deployment of applications that are written in C#.Net, PowerBuilder, C, Pro*C, Perl, Java, Kornshell, and database deployments in MS SQL and Sybase. The resource will be required to quickly adapt to new technologies and processes.

While this role is mostly remote, candidates may be required to attend onsite meetings in Edmonton, Alberta up to 3-4 times per month. Work must be done from within Canada, due to network and data security issues. The Client does not pay for travel to attend on-site meetings, nor any expenses related to relocation, commuting, housing/accommodation, food/drink. Must be a Canadian Citizen to apply.

Minimum Requirements:

• The proposed resource must meet or exceed one of the following: University graduation in Information Technology or a related discipline and 3 years Application Analyst (AA) experience; OR 2-year diploma in Information Technology or a related discipline and 5 years AA experience; OR 1-year certificate in Information Technology or a related discipline and 6 years AA experience; OR 7 years AA experience.
• Experience creating and maintaining batch scripts and utilities (2+ years).
• Experience in application maintenance and development that includes: writing, modifying, integrating, testing, and documenting software code (3+ years).
• Experience using Team Foundation Server and/or Azure DevOps Server (4+ years).
• Experience with building and deploying software solutions between multiple environments (Development, Acceptance, Production, etc.) in a Windows client-server environment (4+ years).
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices in Team Foundation Build/Azure Pipelines (2+ years).
