Job Description:

We have been a leader in transportation design and delivery of civil infrastructure for more than 75 years covering both traditional and Alternative Project Delivery (APD), and are looking for an experienced APD Transportation Project Manager to lead a team of skilled designers, professional engineers, and technicians on projects within our APD portfolio.

We are seeking an individual who works well in a fast-paced team environment, managing schedule and budget. Parsons’ extensive experience in this field, combined with your leadership, management, and technical guidance, will propel your career forward with opportunities for advancement with top performance. We need our Project Managers to be versatile as well as have exceptional communication, analytical, and management skills. In this role, you demonstrate project management skills, scheduling and budget tracking skills and transportation engineering in delivering complex transportation projects in our APD Portfolio. You will manage projects through all project life-cycle phases from project inception, programming, design, construction, and closeout.

Responsibilities:

1. Help grow our APD business practice within the Company by assisting on projects across the country.
2. When required, act as the company representative with the client and selected subcontractors during the project/program execution.
3. Assist with the development of Capture activities on pursuits, including pursuit organization, staffing plans, pursuit capture plans and assisting management with resourcing.
4. Oversee the establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan Documents.
5. Provide project management for transportation and multi-disciplinary transportation projects for our clients on large-sized projects to meet the project scope, schedule, and budget.
6. Oversee and/or prepare contract documents, cost estimates, reports, and proposals.
7. Supervise the work of transportation engineers and design technicians on various APD projects.
8. Monitor productivity and technical proficiency of assigned personnel. Make staffing assignments and reassignments as project needs arise.
9. Review work produced to ensure that applicable codes, standards, and procedures are followed, and quality is acceptable.
10. Provide direction to and mentor junior and intermediate engineers and design technicians.
11. Actively participate in and promote the Quality Improvement Program.
12. Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

This position can be based out of one of our Western Canada offices.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field) and 10+ years of related work experience.
2. Registered as Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), or eligible for registration, with Canadian provincial engineering regulatory bodies.
3. Experience in APD projects including all phases of project.
4. Proven ability to perform in a lead capacity.
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
6. Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations is required.
7. Possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on the project.
8. Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute is an asset.
9. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
11. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
12. Willingness to travel within the region.

Salary Range:

$110,100 - $204,600.
