Role Description:

1. Collaborate with developers, operations, and security teams to design and implement robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure and systems.
2. Automate the deployment, scaling, and observability of applications and services.
3. Continuously improve and optimize the performance, availability, and security of our systems.
4. Work closely with the SRE team to design and implement deployment pipelines, incident response and recovery plans.
5. Join an on-call schedule to provide support and after-hours maintenance of supported systems and services.

Required Skill Set:

1. Good experience in DevOps or SRE roles in an AWS cloud/Automation environment.
2. Strong experience with configuration management tools (Ansible and YAML preferred).
3. Strong experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
4. Strong experience with observability and logging tools (Dynatrace, Elasticsearch, Cloud Watch).
5. Strong experience with scripting and programming languages (Python, Bash, JavaScript).
6. Proficient with cloud-based Infrastructure as Code and services using AWS (IaaS, PaaS, RDS, Observability and CDK / TypeScript).
7. Strong experience with security and compliance in a financial institution or other regulated industry.
8. Strong experience with GitOps including Continuous Deployment tools.
9. Expertise with Git tooling and practices; GitHub Preferred.
10. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
11. Experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) with a strong understanding of SOLID design principles and API design and implementation.
12. Experience with ITIL processes including Problem and Change Management, Configuration and Release Management.
13. Knowledge of Oracle products including Oracle, OEM, Golden Gate.
14. Must have experience in Financial Industry.
15. Must have strong communication, documentation, and ability to provide coaching to team members.
16. Applicants with bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering or related fields preferred.
