THE TEAM

The Maps Technology team is responsible for providing innovative products and technology to support ticket sales via mobile/web-based venue maps.

THE JOB

The Map Analyst is a producer of Ticketmaster’s Interactive Seat Maps (ISM). The Map Analyst is a member of Event Operations (EOS) and will work with North American Business Operations and external Clients to meet deadlines and ensure maps are produced and available prior to onsale.

To build interactive maps, the Map Analyst will use Ticketmaster’s proprietary Map Creation Tool. The Analyst will also need an understanding of Ticketmaster event builds and the tm.com transaction engine.

Collaborating with the Director of Ticketmaster Maps, the Map Analyst will also work internally with Corp. Product and Design teams on Map Creation Tool enhancements and workflow efficiencies to drive reductions in map production time and to meet escalating weekly map production goals. As the demand for ISM Maps grows, this role is fundamental to the success of the North American business.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Produces Interactive Seat Maps and Section Level Maps using Map Creation Tool.
  • Acts as point of contact and liaises with Maps team leadership, NABO teams and Clients to gather assets from venues and move the maps through the workflow process, including QA.
  • Hits YOY OKRs – utilization, QA rate, build success, accuracy and speed-to-market.
  • Integrates SLMs for onsale readiness with ISM Map production.
  • Follows best practices for map appearance and consistency across domains.
  • Provides feedback to ISM Product Manager and Product team on the usability of map creation tool and Rambo, including (UX) user experience mapping.
  • Documentation of processes and training of field and clients.
  • Constant iteration and improvement of processes through tool development, education of Field teams, and workflow enhancements.
  • Problem solving – redirecting enquiries about event build issues.
  • Works with the Field and Clients to create and enforce best practices and standards for consistent event building for ISM compatibility.
  • Tools support – troubleshooting the ISM across a number of renderers and products.
  • Escalating new issues from to Team Management – identifying and articulating the issue and helping find a solution.
  • Work with ISM Global hubs, New Delhi Pods, client account managers, and clients to ensure that map production remains on track.
  • Produce ISM Maps using Maps Studio.
  • Constantly iterate and improve processes, work with Product Manager to suggest new features and improvements for proprietary toolset, and flow/process efficiencies.
  • Follow best practices for map appearance and consistency across domains.
  • Problem solving — focusing on TM event build best practices.
  • Manage priorities and clear bottlenecks to map building up the chain and across the business.
  • Work with the field and clients to get ISMs through the QA process.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)

  • At least one year of experience using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software (3D Studio Max).
  • Fundamental knowledge of Ticketmaster host seating chart structure preferred.
  • Strong design background / familiarity with Adobe Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of HTML.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work alone or in a very collaborative environment, depending on circumstance.
