We’re looking for our next Treasury Analyst. Could It Be You?

The purpose of the Treasury Analyst is to provide support to Questrade’s Cash & Asset Management, Liquidity and Daily Forecasting. The Treasury Analyst will analyze all collateral requirements and provide accurate reports to aid in the forecasting of cash needs for the business; and manage and analyze cash and liquidity management related activities. This role works cross-functionally with the various teams to support the Treasury operations.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Monitoring and reconciling daily collateral requirements with various counterparties and clearing organizations.
2. Minimizing Questrade’s risk by making required margin calls in accordance with the signed agreements.
3. Verifying that all manual adjustments are captured prior to margin call processing.
4. Ensuring that all margin calls are issued and responded to, meeting agreement deadlines.
5. Working collaboratively with Stock Lending, Securities Finance, and Brokerage Operations to complete the daily tasks.
6. Confirming and processing collateral movements in a timely manner.
7. Researching, reconciling and resolving margin call disputes with counterparties daily.
8. Notifying the Treasury Management on outstanding margin call disputes.
9. Monitoring and analyzing the daily cash position to cover cash commitments; reconcile the accounts and utilize the Treasury Workstation to prepare cash forecasting reports.
10. Assessing short-term investment opportunities to ensure that liquidity goals are met.
11. Assisting with risk management by identifying/recommending strategies to minimize foreign currency and interest rate exposures.
12. Assisting in the preparation of various financial reports and analysis when needed and in periodic and yearly audit.
13. Providing back up support to the cash management team as required.
14. Assisting with ad hoc projects and other bookkeeping duties.

1. Hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
2. Have 2-5 years of corporate treasury experience
3. Have previous Collateral Management experience or Forecasting experience
4. Have good communication skills and interpersonal skills
5. Have the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
6. Are well-organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills
7. Possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; and advanced reconciliation skills
8. Are highly proficient in MS Excel, Google Sheet, SQL, PowerBI
9. Can build Excel-based solution (macros) to improve efficiencies/controls
10. Have collateral agreement (ISDA/Repo) knowledge
11. Have Relevant Certifications: CTP or CFA
12. Have experience in financial/investment industry
