Title and Summary

Analyst, Real Estate Services (Environmental Sustainability Supply Chain) Overview:

The position will be based in the Environmental Sustainability team, serving as the Data Analyst supporting the development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive net zero data sustainability strategy. This role will focus on data collection, improvement, and methodological enhancements within the supply chain to enhance emissions calculations.

Role:

Reporting to the Data Strategy Lead, the Analyst, Environmental Sustainability Supply Chain will be responsible for:

1. Identification, management, and evaluation of key environmental sustainability and supplier metrics for supply chain sustainability performance on an ongoing, quarterly, and annual basis.
2. Maintain and develop an inventory of emissions by purchased items across Mastercard’s supply chain for the key categories.
3. Data collection, evaluation, and input for bespoke industry-specific methodologies on an ongoing, quarterly, and annual basis and develop emissions calculation models.
4. Documentation and maintenance of bespoke industry and supplier emissions calculation methodologies.
5. Quality review of data inputs, systems, and methodologies for alignment to key data principles and requirements.
6. Collaboration with internal teams and suppliers for data acquisition, methodological development, and enhancements required.
7. Collaboration across Responsible Sourcing and Environmental Sustainability teams to ensure data consistency, integration, and ongoing alignment.

All About You:

1. Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to manage large data sets.
2. Proficient knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office.
3. Experienced in identifying, implementing, and documenting processes.
4. Ability to manage time and prioritize to meet key targets and deadlines.
5. Ability to problem solve, interpret information, and make decisions when faced with ambiguity.
6. Preferred Degree or Background in Environmental Sustainability, Environmental Science, Sustainable Business, or a related subject.
7. Preferred experience and knowledge of the GHG Protocol and Scope 3 standards.
8. Preferred experience in data visualization tooling like Tableau or Power BI.
