Job description

As a Pricing of products and services analyst, you help develop, update and monitor prices for products and services to promote business development and maximize profitability. You analyze and help diagnose issues, provide opinions in accordance with your discipline’s rules, and help develop recommendations and implementation plans. You develop tools, methods and processes. Your projects and initiatives require extensive knowledge of your line of work. You share ideas and help solve problems using your analytical skills, extensive knowledge of your line of business and ability to manage complexity. You interact with stakeholders working in other fields. You provide discipline-specific support to your unit, clients and partners. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Assist Senior Group Underwriters with preparation of complex group renewal/quotes
  • Achieve well analyzed and supported recommendations on problems with clear documentation of decisions
  • Work on projects related to tools and process to create value add through automation efficiency
  • Process all assigned work in accordance with departmental service standards.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, computer science, actuarial science, mathematics or in a related field
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience, including one year of group underwriting experience with an insurance company or in a similar environment
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Industry courses taken and/or designations achieved (i.e; LOMA or CEBS)
  • Proven knowledge of MS Office tools, specifically MS Excel
  • Knowledge of Group insurance concepts, products and contract provisions
