What is the opportunity?

As part of the CDO Data Shared Services team, the Analyst, Data Traceability & Control will be responsible for documenting all aspects of the data lineage lifecycle from the original source of the data to the point of consumption of the data into a report, including any associated data transformations.

The ideal candidate will maintain relationships with various business & IT stakeholders to understand & communicate details of data lineage.

What will you do?

  • Understand and document the lineage of CDEs from originating source to point of consumption of data into a report or other risk management activity.
  • Collaborate with other Data Management Offices, Data Custodians, and Data Stewards to understand data lineage reporting standards and best practices.
  • Leverage data lineage artifacts captured by other Data Management Offices and share artifacts captured by Risk Data Management Office to avoid duplication of effort.
  • Identify & communicate options to optimize the process of data lineage capture and documentation.
  • Develop knowledge and become a valuable team resource, supporting the development of Data Lineage in general.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in data management, data lineage capture, data analysis or any other related data programs.
  • Post-Secondary education or equivalent in Finance, Risk, Data Analysis or other related programs.
  • Experience with data manipulation and analysis tools such as Datameer, SQL.
  • Experience with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls and compliance.
  • Experience with data governance and metadata management tools such as Collibra.
  • Experience preparing and delivering presentations for executives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technology staff at different levels of seniority.

Nice to Have

  • Graduate/post-graduate or professional designations or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of deep and broad management consulting experience with an emphasis on business strategy or Process/Productivity Improvements.
  • Lean or Process Improvement Designations.
