Job Purpose

The Airport Financial Analyst implements, approves, analyzes, and improves financial reporting and accounting systems. Coordinates the work of other financial services staff.

Duties

• Critically analyzes data, interprets information, legislation and policy, and provides recommendations.
• Prepares complex spreadsheets for financial accounting functions.
• Liaises with other department staff and external organizations in support of municipal operations, develops, reviews and approves financial transactions and reports.
• Develops, monitors, and audits special projects and agreements.
• Researches and assists with policy development.
• Coaches financial services staff.
• Prepares and delivers presentations.
• Drafts and prepares Council Reports.

Minimum Requirements

• CPA Accounting Designation or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible accounting experience with a minimum of two (2) years at the Accountant level of experience or higher.

Additional Information

Pay Rate: Starting hourly wage is $49.86 plus 14% in lieu of vacation, statutory holidays, and benefits.
