Job description

Purpose of Position

To maintain the aircraft in an airworthy condition and carry out maintenance tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  1. Carry out maintenance duties on Jazz aircraft;
  2. Report on issues affecting the serviceability of aircraft;
  3. Ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with Company and Transport Canada regulations;
  4. Perform duties in accordance with our established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, the safety of co-workers and customers.

Qualifications

Must be:

  1. a graduate of an accredited Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineer program.
  2. received Transport Canada Accreditation.
  3. holding a valid Canadian issued driver’s license with no restrictions and/or conditions.
  4. legally able to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or on a Valid Work Permit).
  5. able to carry on normal business in English.

Minimum Requirements

The following are necessary responsibilities for the position:

  1. Complete all Transport Canada tasks required to obtain the AME License.
  2. Transfer bases when positions are available.

Wages

The positions in our Maintenance Department are unionized positions. Current pay scales are outlined in our collective agreement. Pay scales are competitive and progress every 6 months to 1 year. AMEs qualify for a Technical Premium which is paid on top of the base wage for every hour worked.
