What you'll be doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Global Operational and Enterprise Risk Management team. You’ll work as a member of an Agile product team employing Scrum methodology, responsible for designing strategic solutions that advance the modernization of our credit adjudication systems. As an Agile Business Analyst, you’ll support the product team by defining requirements and producing Epics, User Stories and wireframes. You’ll ideate and collaborate with the team to create and set up flexible, innovative solutions that deliver a best-in-class client experience.

Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.

How you'll succeed

  1. Understanding and documenting requirements: Work closely with business partners to gather complicated business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Create strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.
  2. Collaborate for Success: Work directly with members of the Agile team every day to ensure that the product is progressing towards the project’s key goals. Provide feedback where required and assist wherever possible to ensure that each sprint is a success. Facilitate discussion in the team so that everyone is working towards a common goal.
  3. Solution design: Assemble client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.
  4. Design for Users: Organize and lead design sessions with the stakeholders to ensure that the end-user needs drive the product functionality. Assemble or modify UI wireframes for the team, and encourage a sensible balance of functionality vs usability. Ensure that good UI and UX principles are always applied.

Who you are

  1. You put our clients first: You engage with purpose to find the right solutions. You go the extra mile, because it’s the right thing to do.
  2. You give meaning to data: You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information.
  3. You’re a good communicator: You can communicate and present detailed information in a meaningful way. Strong presentation skills are required for this role.
  4. You can demonstrate experience in Agile Methodology: You have experience with Agile methodologies and have worked directly as a member of a Scrum team.
  5. You’re self-motivated: You work independently and apply professional judgment to effectively diagnose the root cause of problems.
  6. You act like an owner: You thrive when you're empowered to take the lead, go above and beyond, and deliver results.
  7. You understand that success is in the details: You notice things that others don't. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making.
  8. Values matter to you: You bring your real self to work and you live our values - trust, teamwork, and accountability.
