Job Description

We are seeking an Afternoon Shift Supervisor to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring all work is completed on time to meet necessary deadlines. The company manufactures high-efficiency transformer units and power distribution solutions to help reduce electric waste. The goal is to deliver 40 distribution power units over the next 3 months for a significant project.

Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, air-compressed power tools) to assemble power distribution units.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical diagrams to assemble units from scratch.
• Perform electrical wiring to panels and install them into the outer shell of the distribution unit.
• Test completed power distribution units.
• Perform general cleaning duties, including building skids and other assigned tasks.
• Work closely with a buddy to understand procedures for mechanical assembly components for different products.
• Ensure candidates have the necessary skills before moving them to the wiring side of the plant.

Essential Skills

• 2-3+ years of experience performing electrical wiring/assembly.
• 2+ years of experience reading and working from electrical schematics.
• 1+ years of experience doing mechanical assembly with hand and power tools.
• 2+ years of previous team lead experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in production, supervision, and plant operation.
• Strong team management and development skills.

Work Environment

The position is for the afternoon shift, running from 3:30 PM to 12 AM, Monday to Friday. Candidates will receive a $1 premium for afternoon shifts. The work environment is team-oriented, with all materials provided and organized for quick and efficient assembly. The facility has good lighting but can be a bit dusty. Candidates should be comfortable working in close quarters and in teams.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brampton, Ontario.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr.
