After (P.M) School Educator

Umbrella Family’s After (P.M.) School Educators bring their love for early childhood education as they close out our centres at the end of the day.

The After (P.M.) School Educator role is ideal for you if you prioritize afternoon only shifts where you implement end of day learning programs for the children and close out our centers at the end of the day.

What to expect:

1. Afternoon Only Shift: After School Educators shift is from 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm only from Monday to Friday (shift time may vary depending on location)
2. Togetherness: After School Educators create something special by partnering with the Program Leaders and fellow educators to build a positive and welcoming environment.
3. Be Impactful: Develop activities to stimulate all areas of development, with integration of your observed interests of children.
4. Feel Supported: After School Educators will be scheduled for allocated Programming Time, allowing you to plan and prepare for your program based on children’s interest and needs.

What are we looking for:

1. Experience working with children OR related experience in a childcare setting, working with school aged children
2. Diploma in Early Childhood Education, or Child and Youth, or Recreation and Leisure;
3. Excellent communication skills
4. Proven teaching abilities to meet the diverse learning styles of children from 4 -12 years of age
5. Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
6. Current First Aid and CPR Level C Certificate
7. Record of up-to-date immunizations for TB, Tetanus and MMR
8. Proof of Covid-19 Vaccines
9. Registration with the College of ECEs (if applicable)
