Are you a Support Worker that is looking to progress in your career?

Would you like to gain qualifications, enjoy specialist training, have more responsibility and earn more money?

If so, maybe an Advanced Support Worker role is for you?

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Support Worker to step up to support care provision within one of our Banff services.

In this service, we support a gentleman to live in his own home, ensuring he has the opportunity to live the best life possible. As an Advanced Support Worker, you will join an experienced staff team who help support the service by providing great, person-centred support. You will also support with care planning, auditing and the general day-to-day tasks required within the service, while providing direct support. This role enables you to build on your current skills, while still having a positive impact on the person we support's day-to-day life.

Our ideal candidate would already have a SVQ 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, or an equivalent qualification.

We provide support 24 hours a day, so some weekends will be required. Our shift patterns are 9am - 9pm, 9am - 3pm, 3pm - 9pm and waking nights (9pm - 9am).

We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role will have professional experience.

This is why we're really passionate about recruiting to individuals’ values and we recruit people from all walks of life; from people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, from people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all.

Naturally it is important too that you share our company values - We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable, which are at the heart of everything we do and ensure that we deliver high quality, consistent care and support.

People's values are important to us, so we look for people with:

  • Patience
  • Empathy, compassion and sensitivity to others
  • A strong work ethic
  • Reliability
  • Honesty
  • Determination
  • A problem solver
  • Resilience
