Job description

Position: Adult Day School Credit Teacher

Course codes: SBI3C, SCH4C, MBF3C, MAP4C

Start: May 5, 2025

End: June 27, 2025 / class is dependent upon student enrollment

Schedule: Monday to Friday. Each period is 2.5 hours. Depending on Applicant’s Qualifications, position could be up to 7.5 hours per day (classes run dependent on student registration)

Biology and Chemistry will alternate between the two Con Ed Campuses noted below. Math is for the Oshawa Campus only.

Location: Alternating days between two Con-Ed Campuses Oshawa Campus (540 Rossland Road West in Monsignor Paul Dwyer Annex, Oshawa) and Ajax Campus (478 Fairall Street, Ajax)

Applications are currently being accepted for the above position. The successful applicant should have teachable(s) in at least one of the subject area(s) identified in the above posting and hold certification in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.

Required:

  1. Certificate of Qualification / Interim Certificate of Qualification (must be in good standing)
  2. Intermediate/Senior Basic Qualifications

Desired:

  1. Adult and Continuing Education Experience
  2. Experience teaching on Desire2Learn (D2L) platform as the course is run on D2L with adult students attending in person, on-line, and/or asynchronously

Rate Of Pay:

  1. Will be paid according to the Continuing Education hourly rate, $56.43/hour, as per the current collective agreement for each designated day of the program.
