Waste Connections has an immediate position available for an ADT Equipment Operator for our Ottawa Landfill District in Navan, ON. We are Waste Connections of Canada, an integrated services company that provides solid waste collection, transfer, disposal and recycling services to local residents and businesses throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Location: 3354 Navan Road Navan, ON
Pay: $24.60 per hour, Full time with benefits, 44 hours per week

Our priority is to make sure we hire safe equipment operators that care about the safety of our team and the service provided to our customers. As an equipment operator with us, the minimum responsibilities are:

  • Operates equipment for leveling and operates tractors to load materials such as dirt and rocks.
  • Operates backhoe and articulated trucks as required.
  • Operates various equipment for general site preparation, landscaping, snow removal, and related assignments.
  • Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices, including routine inspection and maintenance of equipment.
  • May be required to watch the public drop-off pad, litter pick, shovel, mow lawns.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
