Your Role

We are looking for a dynamic HR Administrative support (Workday, HR Operations) to join the HR Shared Services - HR Administration team. This role requires providing administrative and transactional support in the processing of HR Administration events, conforming to CBC standard operations, HR Policies, Collective Agreements, and administrative procedures, while exercising independent judgment and decision-making within complex parameters.

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for accurate, timely processing of all types of staffing events (e.g. retirement, resignation, etc.).
  2. Verify requests to ensure compliance with CBC policies, Workday procedures, and collective agreements.
  3. Manage and respond to employee inquiries through a ticketing system, including escalated interactions to ensure effective and timely resolution.
  4. Build relationships with requesters based on trust through open, supportive, and positive communication.
  5. Ensure that all requests are properly authorized and documented, following up with Managers, Business Support, or HR Business Partners as required.
  6. Ensure that changes have been applied correctly in the pay system by reviewing pay draft results when required.
  7. Work closely with other teams within Shared Services, Workday People System and Analytics team, Total Rewards, and HR Business Partners to ensure accurate entry of pay information.
  8. Understand the impacts of other business processes within Workday and recognize the implications when making changes to an employee file.
  9. Participate in documenting internal procedures and processes.
  10. Work with highly confidential and sensitive information concerning employee files.

Who has:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of experience performing duties similar or related to this position.
  • Written and oral bilingualism is required.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources Management systems such as Workday.
  • Good organizational skills, ability to manage several priorities and meet multiple, tight deadlines.
  • Discretion, diplomacy, and tact in communications with staff and/or managers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness to solve a variety of issues.
  • Flexibility to work overtime to meet tight deadlines.
