Position Summary

Cranbrook Urgent Primary Care (CUP) has an exciting opportunity for a Relief Part-time (0.83 FTE) Administrative Services Assistant to join their Team! Hours of work are rotating days and evenings – from 08:30 to 16:57, 08:30 to 20:00. This relief position is until November 8, 2025 or return of the incumbent.

What Will You Work On?

In this role you will perform a variety of reception, administrative and Health Unite Aide support duties including:

  1. Data entry including gathering, organizing, collecting, collating and verifying information, typing correspondence
  2. Preparing presentations, arranging meetings, transcribing minutes, booking travel, and record management
  3. Scheduling and confirming client appointments as well as receiving, recording and checking balances of cash transactions
  4. Maintaining and cleaning medical/surgical supplies, equipment and HCIS resource material
  5. Cleaning, setting up and dismantling rooms, cleaning/sanitizing toys and equipment
  6. Weighing and measuring babies, calibrating equipment, vision screenings

What should your application include?

  1. A current Typing Test 40 wpm or greater completed within past 24 months from a recognized institution;
  2. An Office Administration Certificate;
  3. A current valid BC Driver’s License;

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  1. Grade 12,
  2. Certificate from a recognized office administration certificate program, plus
  3. One year recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  4. Current valid B.C. Driver’s License.

Skills & Abilities:

  1. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  2. Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
  3. Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others
  4. Ability to operate related equipment
  5. Ability to organize and prioritize
  6. Ability to type at 40 wpm
  7. Knowledge of general office procedures
  8. Ability to establish and maintain rapport with clients
  9. Knowledge of nursing equipment
  10. Knowledge of sterilization techniques and procedures
  11. Business writing skills
