Locations: 100 Mile House, Alexis Creek, Anahim Lake, Atlin, Bella Bella, Bella Coola, Burns Lake, Chetwynd, Dawson Creek, Dease Lake, Fort Nelson, Fort St. James, Fort St. John, Fraser Lake, Houston, Hudson's Hope, Kitimat, Mackenzie, Masset, McBride, Nass Camp, New Hazelton, Prince George, Prince Rupert, Queen Charlotte City, Quesnel, Smithers, Stewart, Terrace, Tumbler Ridge, Valemount, Vanderhoof, Wells, Williams Lake, North Coast - Other locations, Northeastern British Columbia - Other locations.

This inventory is for casual employment, which is temporary employment of 90 working days or less in a calendar year, to meet needs for temporary vacancies arising from vacation, sick leave, training, special projects, etc.

Salary: CR-04 ($50,821 - $54,857), CR-05 ($55,543 - $60,130) Pro-rated.

Work environment:

The RCMP is recruiting for entry level CR-04 / CR-05 opportunities across the North District area of BC. Working with the RCMP, you will experience meaningful work and have a real impact on daily operations.

Intent of the process:

This inventory is for casual employment to meet temporary vacancies.

NOTE : Casual appointees will not be eligible to apply to internal appointment processes.

Information you must provide:

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following essential qualifications:

Education:

Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training, or experience.

Experience:

  • Experience in providing administrative support services in an office environment.
  • Experience using word processing software such as Microsoft Word.
  • Experience using spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel.

The following may be applied/assessed at a later date:

  • Experience providing administrative support in a police environment.
  • Experience providing administrative support to senior management.
  • Experience extracting data and/or preparing statistical reports.
  • Experience providing record management support.
  • Experience using the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC).
  • Experience using the Police Records Information Management Environment (PRIME).
  • Experience interpreting and processing court documents.
  • Experience providing guidance and processing Access to Information and Privacy requests.
  • Experience using a human resources information management system such as PeopleSoft.
  • Experience using Total Expenditure and Asset Management System (TEAM) and/or Systems, Applications & Products (SAP).
  • Experience in transcribing audio statements in English.
  • Experience providing budget and financial support.
