Job Overview

Location: Kitchener, ON N2R 0P5
Salary: $28.50 hourly / 35 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full time
Shifts: Day, Evening, Morning, Overtime, Shift, Weekend
Start Date: Starts as soon as possible

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Responsibilities

  1. Arrange and co-ordinate seminars, conferences, etc.
  2. Plan and control budget and expenditures
  3. Supervise other workers
  4. Assign, co-ordinate and review projects and programs
  5. Record and prepare minutes of meetings, seminars and conferences
  6. Determine and establish office procedures and routines
  7. Oversee the classification and rating of occupations
  8. Manage contracts
  9. Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
  10. Compile data, statistics and other information
  11. Order office supplies and maintain inventory
  12. Negotiate collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers
  13. Organize and administer staff consultation and grievance procedures
  14. Oversee payroll administration
  15. Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
  16. Greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas
  17. Conduct research
  18. Perform data entry
  19. Provide customer service
  20. Conduct performance reviews
