Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?The RBC Dominion Securities Winnipeg Branch is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide support to the Management Team. A successful candidate will be resourceful and thorough in their work. The role is dynamic and requires a self-starter who is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates an astute ability to prioritize.
What will you do?- Coordinate and prepare meetings for Management with Investment Advisor teams and support staff.
- Provide proactive administrative support with a focus on problem resolution and attention to details. Liaise with various departments for execution, where necessary.
- Respond to team inquiries.
- Assist the Management team with new hire onboarding.
- Execute compliance-related projects.
- Prepare and audit compliance records and documentation.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates of all necessary documentation in compliance with internal controls and industry regulatory requirements. Maintain complete and up-to-date files within appropriate systems.
- Follow up on regulatory items to ensure correct documentation is on file.
What do you need to succeed?Must-have- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Excel.
- High level of time management and organization skills.
- Resourcefulness, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
- Enjoy working with numbers and fine details.
- Demonstrated skills in providing world-class service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our Investment Advisor Teams.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
Nice-to-have- Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH).
- Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures.
- Experience in the securities industry is an asset.
