Administration Officer

Location: Saint John, NB

Full-Time | On-Site

Hours: 30-35 hours

Pay: CAD15.70 - 17 per hour

Role Overview

The Administration Officer will ensure smooth business operations, financial oversight, and administrative efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee and coordinate office administrative procedures, evaluating and implementing improvements.
  2. Manage financial processes, including budgeting, inventory control, and cost analysis.
  3. Establish work priorities and delegate tasks to office support staff to meet deadlines.
  4. Handle administrative activities related to post-secondary admissions.
  5. Administer policies for processing government access to information and privacy requests.
  6. Plan and coordinate office services, including relocation, maintenance, security, and procurement.
  7. Conduct analyses and oversee budgeting, contracting, and project planning.
  8. Prepare reports, manuals, and correspondence as needed.
  9. Supervise records management technicians and related staff, if required.

Qualifications & Skills

  1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  2. Analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience in operations management.
  3. Financial acumen, including budgeting and cost control.
  4. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  5. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  6. Experience in the immigration consulting industry is a plus.
  7. Degree or diploma in Immigration Assistant, Paralegal, Business Administration or a related field.

Employment Requirements

  1. Completion of secondary school, or college diploma in business or public administration (preferred).
  2. Experience related to office administration, project planning, and coordination.
  3. Knowledge of Immigration is considered an asset.
