AD/ENTRA ID Expert

POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The guarantor of the security of the AD/Azure tenant and the delivery of the service. You are responsible for being a Point of Contact (POC) / Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all AD/Azure tenants’ activities and issues, performing operational tasks and following the best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, implement, configure, and maintain various Azure SaaS and PaaS Services such as Azure AD, ATP, EM+S, Teams, Intune, AAD Connect, Exchange Online, and O365.
  • Implement and manage storage.
  • Achieve high proficiency with backup, restore, recovery, and high availability strategies for Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS environments.
  • Monitor and enhance the security of Azure cloud environments.
  • Evaluate and automate the scaling and capacity requirements within Azure environments using Graph API cmdlet and scripting.
  • Ensure federated access across tenants.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Azure environments performance and security issues.
  • Design, create, and implement new environments in Azure.
  • Handle Azure administration on a day-to-day basis to ensure work performance at a high level of technical and professional competence.
  • Manage and deploy end-user and server patches and updates, including research of operational effects before deployment.
  • Identify security risks, assess potential threats, and develop plans for eliminating vulnerabilities.
  • Create or update policies and procedures to comply with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Secure applications, operating systems, databases, and networks; ensure that apps, containers, infrastructure, and networks are protected.
  • Demonstrate capability to design, deploy, and operationalize secure and highly scalable enterprise systems on public clouds (ideally Azure).
  • Other responsibilities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, IT Security, or a related field; alternatively, equivalent demonstrated knowledge.
  • 3 years of experience in Azure Engineering and Administration, or Active Directory Administration with a strong security focus on Azure and AD.
  • Outstanding troubleshooting skills in resolving incidents or disruptions.
  • Experience with the following technology:
  • Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019
  • Windows Backup
  • Identity Management.
  • Good skills in Graph API, PowerShell, VBScript, WMI.
  • TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IPSEC.
  • Group Policy.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems, driving solutions through to completion.
  • Strong work ethic, professional integrity, and the ability to apply the appropriate level of judgment and maturity.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong ability to communicate; you are a team player and results-oriented person.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to provide worldwide coverage when exceptionally needed by the team; you work in a very strong team spirit.
  • Ability to gather requirements and help architect, plan, and implement system solutions for incident and problem configuration platforms to meet security requirements.
  • You are fluent in English (French is an asset).
