The Town of Stony Plain has a 1-year temporary full-time position available for an Accounts Payable Clerk supporting our Corporate Services team. Reporting to the Senior Financial Analyst, the Accounts Payable Clerk plays an integral role in providing functional support to Finance in the Accounts Payable position to ensure workflow, processes, and deadlines are met accurately and efficiently. This temporary role will support the configuration and testing of replacement software applications for the Accounts Payable module including documentation, training, process flow mapping, and change management.
The ideal candidate for this position will hold a post-secondary certificate or diploma in Accounting, combined with a minimum of 2-3 years experience with data processing and computer accounting, preferably in a municipal setting. The successful incumbent will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, strong customer service orientation, and the ability to adapt to varying workloads.
Based on a 35-hour work week, the salary range for this position is $51,253 - $65,208 per annum. This is a 1-year temporary position and includes the option to participate in the Town’s Group Health Benefits Plan.
