Join us as an Accounts Payable Associate!

Are you an experienced Accounts Payable Associate with a passion for streamlining financial processes? At NorLand Limited, we’re looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Associate to manage and oversee our financial transactions. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring invoices are processed accurately and timely, contributing to our commitment to financial excellence.

In this role, you’ll handle invoice processing, coordinate with vendors and internal teams, and ensure every transaction aligns with our high standards. Join us in maintaining the integrity of our financial operations!

Duties & Responsibilities: Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct all daily and monthly Accounts Payable activities
  • Work collaboratively to ensure effective accounting and administrative resource management
  • Work closely with division managers, project managers and procurement managers to ensure cost activity is accurately posted to A/P and Job Cost
  • Set up invoices for payments; prioritize invoices in accordance with probability of cash discounts as well as other terms of payment
  • Prepare batches of invoices for data entry, complete entries and process backup reports
  • Correspond with vendors and respond promptly to inquiries
  • Prepare analysis of accounts and verify accuracy of all relevant documents
  • Maintain computerized records and/or providing data for input into general account system
  • Perform other ad-hoc administrative duties

What we’re looking for:

  • Completion of a two to three-year college program in business administration or in a related field is required or two to three years of related experience plus completion of secondary school is required
  • Possess a minimum of two (2) years hands-on experience in an accounting field, specifically accounts payable
  • Proficiency in MS Office computer applications and knowledge of ERP system;
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A sense for confidentiality for all information received from the company
  • Be well organized, with demonstrated attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Be able to prioritize to ensure timely completion of tasks

Compensation: The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical salary range of $50,000 - $60,000 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and experience.
